- The President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind presided the2nd meeting of National Committee for Commemoration of the 150th Birth anniversary (October 2) of Mahatma Gandhi ‘Gandhi@150’ which was held in New Delhi.
- Ebook launched:During the committee meeting the President Shri Kovind received 1st copies of ebook on commemorative activities. The e-book was compiled by the Ministry of Culture(MoC).
- Anthology launched:An anthology (collection of poems or collection of writing)on Gandhi compiled by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) from the Prime Minister(PM) formally released them.
- Education Prize by Portugal: The Prime Minister of Portugal, António Luís Santos da Costa, announced the Portuguese govt’s launch of Gandhi Citizenship Education Prize to perpetuate Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals.
