NAKSHA Programme

▪ NAKSHA stands for National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations.
▪ This initiative addresses the pressing need for modern, accurate, and accessible land records in urban settings.
▪ It aims to reform urban land surveys using advanced geospatial technologies.
▪ As urban populations surge, the need for accurate land records becomes critical.
▪ The programme is implemented by the Department of Land Resources in collaboration with the Survey of India and the National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI).
▪ It is funded entirely by the Government of India.
Bharat Gen
▪ India launched Bharat Gen, a groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative.
▪ This multimodal Large Language Model (LLM) is designed to cater to the diverse linguistic and cultural landscape of India.
▪ The initiative was revealed at the BharatGen Summit, the largest event focused on Generative
AI in the country.
▪ Bharat Gen is a product of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS) and is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
▪ It aims to revolutionise AI applications across various sectors.
