International Day of Yoga
▪ The International Day of Yoga, celebrated every year on 21st June, is more than just a symbolic observance;
▪ In 2025, this internationally celebrated day enters its 11th edition, bringing with it a renewed sense of commitment to both personal well-being and planetary health.
▪ Theme for International Yoga Day 2025 : “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”
Awards & Honours
Sahitya Akademi – Yuva Puraskar Award
▪ The Sahitya Akademi (India’s National Academy of Letters) announced the Yuva Puraskar award for 23 writers for 2025.
▪ The awardees include Advait Kottary in English, Parvati Tirkey in Hindi, Latshmihar for Tamil and Prasad Suri for Telugu. There is no Yuva Puraskar in Dogri this year.
▪ Other winners include Suprakash Bhuyan for Assamese, Sudeshna Moitra for Bengali, R.
Dileepkumar for Kannada, and Akhil P. Dharmajan for Malayalam.

▪ It is an autonomous organisation established in 1952 and formally inaugurated in 1954, dedicated to the promotion of literature in the languages of India. It was registered as a society
in 1956 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

and Agartala.
