“Sagar Kavach” Security Exercise
▪ The 36-hour security exercise named “Sagar Kavach,” launched in Tamil Nadu’s coastal districts to thwart terrorist infiltration, concludes this evening.
▪ The Sagar Kavach security exercise was launched yesterday morning at 6 AM by the police in
14 coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.
▪ This exercise involved participation from all security divisions including the Tamil Nadu Coastal Security Group, Armed Forces, Tamil Nadu Special Police Force, Coast Guard, and Crime Branch Police.
▪ A total of 8,000 police personnel have been deployed in this security exercise.
