Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) dividends to Centre almost double since 2020
▪ The Centre’s dividend receipts from non-banking PSUs have nearly doubled from ₹39,558 crore in 2020-21 to ₹74,017 crore in 2024-25.
▪ The analysis excluded dividends from the RBI and nationalised banks.
▪ The growth in dividends is attributed to a “calibrated” approach balancing disinvestment and dividend revenues.
▪ Five fuel-related PSUs — Coal India Ltd, ONGC, IOC, BPCL, and GAIL — contributed ₹1.27 lakh crore, accounting for 42.3% of total dividends received since 2020-21.

Indian Tea Exports See a Rise
▪ In the 2024-25 fiscal years, India’s tea exports increased by 2.85 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.
▪ North India’s tea exports rose by 6.15% to 16.12 crore kg.
▪ South India’s tea exports declined by 4.92% to 9.67 crore kg.
▪ From January to December 2024, tea exports rose by 10.57% to 25.62 crore kg.
▪ During the same calendar year, North India’s exports increased by 10.28% to 15.55 crore kg.
▪ South India’s exports grew by 11.02% to 10.07 crore kg, as per Tea Board statistics.
