Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana
▪ Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) This scheme was launched on 23rd September, 2018 in Ranchi to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to the common man
▪ This is the “world’s largest government funded healthcare program” targeting more than 50 crore beneficiaries.
MGNREGA scheme
▪ The MGNREGA scheme was launched with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act being enacted in 2005 (specifically, August 25, 2005) and implemented in phases starting from February 2006, with initial districts being covered in the financial year 2006-07 Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)
▪ The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was launched on August 28, 2014, with the objective of expanding financial services to all families in the country.
▪ This scheme aims to provide every family with at least one bank account, financial awareness, credit, insurance, and pension facilities.
▪ This represents India’s National Financial Inclusion Program. This financial inclusion initiative has completed 11 years by connecting India’s unbanked population with formal banking services through systematic policy implementation.
Skill India Mission
▪ Government of India launched on 15th July 2015 aimed to train over 400 million individuals by 2022.
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
▪ It was launched in the year 2015 to promote and encourage skill development in India.
▪ The scheme, overseen by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), provides free short-term training to youth and offers monetary rewards for skill certification
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK)
▪ Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs) are physical centers established under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) launched in 2015 to provide skill development training Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS)
▪ It was launched in 1967, aims to provide skill training in a non-formal mode at the doorsteps of the beneficiary through registered Societies (NGOs) with 100% grant from the Government of India Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana (PMYY)
▪ PM Yuva scheme, officially known as the Prime Minister’s Young Authors Mentorship Scheme, was launched in 2021.
▪ The first edition, YUVA 1.0, was launched in May 2021. YUVA 3.0 was launched on March 11, 2025
▪ It aims to empower young authors and provide them with mentorship to develop their writing skills and perspectives on various aspects of India
Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP)
▪ It was launched on January 19, 2018, by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) with the help of the World Bank, and it concluded its implementation period in March 2023.
▪ The scheme’s primary aim was to strengthen the skill development ecosystem in India, focusing on institutional mechanisms, quality assurance, and inclusive training for marginalized groups
