Karnataka Rathna
▪ ‘Karnataka Rathna’ was awarded posthumously on popular Kannada actors Vishnuvardhan and B. Saroja Devi.
▪ It is Karnataka’s highest civilian award.
▪ It is awarded in recognition of a person’s extraordinary contribution in any field.

▪ The award was instituted in the year 1992 by Chief Minister S Bangarappa.
