A princess’ Christmas gift, now a collector’s item

  • Antiquarian finds brass box Mary sent to sailors in 1914.
  • The brass box sent by Princess Mary in 1914 with the words ‘Imperium Britannicum’ inscribed at the top along with a sword and a scabbard on either side.
  • The box was sent out with a packet of tobacco and cigarettes, a portrait photograph of Princess Mary and Christmas cards from Princess Mary and King George and Queen Mary.
