Approval for the study of 31 new double railway projects across the country

4,499 km across the country, Railway Board has approved the survey of 31 new double lane projects.
In this, four dual project projects in Tamil Nadu are underway. For this, Rs 4 crore 86 lakh 76 thousand has been allocated. 160.10 km. Rs. 13 crore has been allocated for the Katpadi-Villupuram double lane project. 160 km Rs 2 crore has been earmarked for the Salem-Karoor-Dindigul double lane project. 65 km A sum of Rs.1.1 Lakhs 25 thousand has been allocated for the study of the Erode-Karoor double-lane project. 4.3 km Rs. 5 Lakhs 38 thousand has been allocated for the roadway work between Chennai-Egmore.
