  • The Government focuses on states like Himachal Pradesh (HP), Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Bihar, Tamil Nadu (TN), Andhra Pradesh (AP), Uttar Pradesh (UP), Madhya Pradesh (MP), West Bengal (WB), Rajasthan and Haryana.
  • India is following the modus operandi adopted by the United States (US) that deals with marijuana plantations. The US authorities have been using airplanes and drones to detect and destroy illegal plantations. In 2018, 24,000 cases have been seized containing 414 tons of plants.
