World Wildlife Crime Report 2024
▪ The third edition of the UN World Wildlife Crime Report 2024 was recently released by the
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
▪ The report provides insights into the illegal wildlife trade that occurred between 2015 and 2021.

Key Findings
Rhino horns, pangolin scales, and elephant ivory lead the illegal wildlife market.
▪ During 2015-2021, rhinoceroses and cedars were the most impacted animal and plant
species respectively.
