  • The First ever international book fair of Chennai will be held at the YMCA ground, Chennai.
  • Publishers and booksellers from nearly 40 countries including Singapore and Sri Lanka will set up stalls.
  • TN Chief Minister MK Stalin will inaugurate the 46th Chennai Book Fair and present the Kalaignar Porkizhi and BAPASI awards at the event

TN govt launches toll-free number to help devotees raise temple related grievances

  • The Ministry for Hindu religious and charitable endowments launched a toll-free telephone number 18004251757 and a 24-hour helpline to help devotees report grievances and get information on temples in Tamil Nadu 24×7.
  • A grievance centre was launched on June 25, 2021 to help public and devotees register grievances related to temples. However, the centre used to function only between 10 am and 6 pm.
  • Now, the newly launched centre will function 24×7.

  • The Department of Posts, Chennai City Region, released a special cover on ‘60 Years of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc)‘ at Taramani.
