Death toll rises to 25 in Sikkim floods
- The death toll in flash floods in Sikkim has risen to 25. 7 of them are army personnel. Further, the search for 143 people, including 15 army personnel, continued for the third day.
- A cloudburst caused heavy rainfall in Lonak Lake region of North Sikkim. Subsequently, the Deesta river was flooded and the hydroelectric project dam broken in Chungdhang area. Due to this, 4 districts namely Mangan, Gangtok, Namsi and Bagyang were flooded.
