- The Government of India (GoI)has officially launched its 1stcomprehensiven coronavirus (COVID-19)tracking appcalled‘AarogyaSetu (whichtranslates from Sanskrit to ‘A bridge of health’)’ for Android and iOS (iPhone Operating System) users to connect health services with the people to fight the novel corona virus outbreak.
Key Points:
- The app has been developed by the National Informatics Center (NIC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in just 4 days.
AarogyaSetu app: What is it?
- The app notifies the user via smartphone location data & Bluetooth whether they came in contact with someone infected with Coronavirus within 6 feet radius. It is available in 11 languages including English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, among others and it is now in beta version with almost all the functions of beta version.
