“Velaan Vendhar” Award for Natural Farmer
▪ Puliyangudi Anthonisamy, a pioneering natural farmer, has been honored with the “Velaan Vendhar”
award by Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
▪ He has achieved success in farming by using natural materials such as livestock waste.
▪ He introduced methods incorporating the five elements in natural farming, helping to achieve 20%
higher yields.
▪ He played a significant role in establishing Puliyangudi in Tenkasi district as the “Lemon City of Asia”.
