Revamped Multi Agency Centre (MAC)
▪ Union Home Minister inaugurated the revamped Multi Agency Centre (MAC), a common counterterrorism grid under the Intelligence Bureau (IB) that was conceptualised in 2001 post the Kargil war.
▪ The new MAC network securely connects all police districts in the country and has been built at a cost of ₹500 crore.
▪ As many as 28 organisations, including the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), armed forces and State police, are part of the platform, and various security agencies share real-time
intelligence inputs in the MAC.
