Appointments
New RBI Dy. Governor
- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has selected State Bank of India MD Swaminathan Janakiraman for the post of a Deputy Governor in the Reserve Bank of India.
- He will have a tenure of three years.
- He will succeed Deputy Governor M.K. Jain.
New CEO of Aadhaar authority
- Amit Agrawal, a 1993-batch IAS officer, on Tuesday took charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of Note India, which administers Aadhaar.

- Mr. Agrawal, who is from the Chhattisgarh cadre, was earlier an Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
