- Vigilance Commissioner Praveen Kumar Srivastava was sworn in by President Droupadi Murmu as the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) on May 29, 2023.
About CVC
- Formed – 11th February 1964
- Recommendation of – The Committee on Prevention of Corruption (Chairmanship of K. Santhanam).
Composition:
- The Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) and two Vigilance Commissioners (VCs)
- Tenure – Four years or the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
