India scores highest ever ranking in aviation safety
- India has been ranked 48 in terms of comprehensive safety audits conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) which is among the top 50 countries of the world.
- India’s ranking places it ahead of China (49).
- The ICAO undertakes the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP), Continuous Monitoring Approach, an ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) which was undertaken from November 9 to 16, 2022.
