Madhya Pradesh government launched a month long “Swachhata hi Seva Abhiyan”

• The government of Madhya Pradeshlaunched a month-long “Swachhata hi Seva Abhiyan” against the single-use plastic which will be observed till October 25, 2019. It will also coincide with the 150^th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Key Points:

• It has an aim to administer oath to at least 50 lakh citizens against the use of single-use plastic and targets to reach 2 crore urban population.
• In order to collect waste, a total 2000 km long plog run will be organised in 378 cities of the state.
