- The Mumbai state cabinet Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde has approved to name the under-construction Mumbai-Nagpur super communication Samruddhi expresswayafter Shiv Sena party founder late Bal Thackeray.
- Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi expressway:It is a 700-km super expressway, which is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
- This expressway is expected to cut down the travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur by than nine hours.
