Mumbai to get India’s largest air quality monitoring network

  • The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) will develop an air quality monitoring network access across 90 locations in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It will be the largest network in India.

Key Points:

  • The new project is led by Non-Government Organisation (NGO) Conservation Action Trust (CAT) & partnered by pan-India air pollution research groups Respirer Living Sciences Private Limited (Urban Sciences) and Urban Emissions.
  • The project will be completed within next 5 years, funded by BMC and private organisations.
