National Symposium on “India’s Roadmap to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis”
- This symposium was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi chaired by the Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya
Highlights:

- To eliminate lymphatic filariasis by 2027, ministry had developed a five-pronged plan.
- As a part of this plan, Multi-Drug Administration (MDA) campaign will be held twice a year synchronized with the National Deworming Day on February 10 and August 10.
About Lymphatic filariasis
- It is commonly known as elephantiasis
- It is caused by infection with nematodes (roundworms) of the family Filariodidea
- It transmitted to humans mainly through mosquitoes
India’s first Centre of Excellence of online gaming

- The Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) Rajeev Chandrasekhar announced that India’s first Centre of Excellence (CoE) of online gaming would be set up in Shillong, Meghalaya by March 2023.
- It is established under the Digital India Startup Hub through the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)
- Aim: To catalyse the start-ups and entrepreneurs from North East Region to build the next generation of online gaming ecosystem
