Cauvery Water Regulation Committee
The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee instructed Karnataka to release approximately 1.25 thousand million cubic feet (tmc ft) towards environmental purpose.
▪ The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) was established to implement and monitor the Cauvery Water Dispute Tribunal’s award and regulate the distribution of water according to its provisions.
Note
▪ The Cauvery dispute involves 3 states and one Union Territory: Tamil Nadu, Kerala,Karnataka and Puducherry.
GWF Leadership Award
▪ India’s space regulator IN-SPACe was conferred with the Geospatial World Forum (GWF) leadership award for “Public Policy: Enabling Industry Development” in Rotterdam.
▪ The award was presented at the 2024 Geospatial World Forum.
