New Government
▪ Narendra Modi took the oath of office as Prime Minister for a third successive term.
▪ Council of Ministers consisting of 71 members also took oath.

▪ Narendra Modi is the second Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to form a government at the Centre for the third time in a row.
▪ Article 75 of the constitution of India states that the Prime Minister shall be appointed by the President, and the other Ministers shall be appointed by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister.
