Madras HC achieves Case Clearance Rate of 114% in 2022
- The Madras High Court has created a record in disposal of cases by registering its highest – ever Case Clearance Rate (CCR) of 114% in 2022 as against 109% in 2021.
- The existing backlog of 2.34 lakh cases will get wiped out if a CCR beyond 110% is achieved for a few more years.

PMPVYG launched
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the first of its kind initiative – ‘Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM PVTG) Development Mission’
- The mission has the budget outlay of about ì 24,000 crore
- Aim – To saturate PVTG families and habitations with basic facilities and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

- There are 75 PVTGs in 18 States & UTs living in 22,544 villages (220 districts) having a population of around 28 lakhs.
