- The Oxford University Press(OUP) has named ‘Samvidhaan’(constitution) as the Oxford Hindi Word of the Year (HWOTY) for 2019. This name received widespread attention in August 2019 with the abrogation of Article 370 and article 35(A) of the Indian Constitution on August 05, 2019. The articles removed special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir.
