Environment and Ecology E-flow Monitoring System 
Union Jal Shakti Ministry recently launched an e-flow (Environmental Flow) ecological monitoring system. It allows the real-time monitoring of water quality of Ganga, Yamuna and their tributaries and check performance of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) The system was developed by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG). The system also monitors the activities of ‘Namami Gange Programme’ Note NMCG (2011) - Implementation arm of National Ganga Council (2016). ‘Namami Gange Programme’ (June 2014) - An Integrated Conservation Mission with twin objectives of effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of River Ganga.
