India’s Foreign Policy India – Iran ▪ India and Iran recently signed a 10-year contract for the operation of the Shahid Beheshti Port Terminal at the strategically important Chabahar port in Iran. ▪ This move will boost regional connectivity as well as trade ties. Note ▪ A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of the Chabahar port was signed in May 2015.
