Space SPECULOOS-3b ▪ The international team of astronomers have discovered a new Earth-sized exoplanet called SPECULOOS-3b. ▪ It is 55 light-years away from Earth. ▪ It is orbiting an ultracool red dwarf star. Note ▪ The SPECULOOS project was established to search for exoplanets orbiting ultra-cool dwarf stars. Mangalyaan-2 ▪ ISRO recently unveiled its Mangalyaan-2 mission. ▪ The mission aims to land a rover and helicopter on Mars. ▪ The mission will make India the third nation to land on Mars after China and US. About Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan-1) ▪ India's first interplanetary mission. ▪ Launch - November 05, 2013. ▪ Fourth county to launch to successfully send spacecraft to mars orbit.
