With the state gearing up for assembly election next year, chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami directed the public works department to complete the ongoing projects by next March. Palaniswami will lay foundation stone or 565 crore diversion of flood surplus from Mettur to the dry tanks in Sarabanga basin in his native, Edappadi panchayat.
