950 classrooms inaugurated ▪ Chief Minister M.K. Stalin virtually inaugurated 956 school classrooms, 12 science laboratories and new buildings for the School Education Department in various locations across the State at a total cost of ₹264.15crore. ▪ 515 classrooms have been constructed in 106 State-run high and higher secondary schools across 26 districts. ▪ 441 classrooms have been constructed in 176 State-run primary schools in 25 districts. IS 6541: 2024 code revised ▪ Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently revised the code IS 6541: 2024. ▪ The code was published in 1972 to prescribe a basic standard hygienic condition required for the preparation of food/meals in schools. ▪ The code has also recommended testing of meals once in six months for different parameters, including e-coli and salmonella.
