Vadhavan Port ▪ The Union Cabinet approved setting up a Major Port at Vadhavan near Dahanu in Maharastra. ▪ It will be developed as an all-weather Greenfield major port. ▪ On completion this Port will be one of the top 10 ports of the world. ▪ This port is constructed as a part of PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP). About PMGS-NMP. ▪ Launch - October 13, 2021 ▪ Objective – To provide multimodal connectivity infrastructure to various economic zones with seven focus areas which include Railways, Roads, Ports, Waterways, Airports, Mass Transport, Logistics Infrastructure.
