- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled a statue of late anticaste activist Iyothee Thass Pandithar installed at Gandhi Mandapam at Guindy in Chennai.
- TN Government also announced that it would implement a housing scheme named after Pandithar for the benefit of Scheduled Caste communities.
