Scientific Scholar Awards for 24 People
▪ The Tamil Nadu Scientific Scholar Award has been presented through the Science and
Technology Council since 1993.
▪ These awards are given in 10 categories: Agricultural Science, Biochemistry, Ecology, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Medicine, Physics, Sociology, and Veterinary Science.
▪ In 2022, Dr. A. Theraniraj was selected as a Scientific Scholar in the Medical field.
▪ Professor Ma. Arumugam Pillai from the Agricultural College and Research Station (Agriculture), Professor T. Sangeeta from Anna University (Chemistry), Professor M. Tamilarasan from University of Chennai (Sociology), among others, have been selected for the awards.
