Rise in deceased organ donations
▪ Tamil Nadu has reached a record high in the number of organ donations in 2024.
▪ In 130 days (as of May 9, 2024), the number of deceased donor organ donations has crossed 100 in the State.
▪ According to the Health Department, this was the highest number ever registered since the Tamil Nadu Cadaver Transplant Program (CTP) was launched in the State on September 2008.
