Soil Nailing Scheme
▪ Tamil Nadu government recently launched the Soil Nailing Scheme to prevent landslide in Nilgiris district.
▪ Under this scheme, slope stabilisation being implemented in the Nilgiris through ‘soil nailing’ and ‘hydroseeding’ techniques.
▪ It will reduce construction cost by 50%, when compared with conventional methods.
