- World Deaf Day(WDD) which is usually observed every year on the last Sunday in the month of September, was observed on September 29, 2019. It creates awareness about the contributions of deaf people to society. The day was initiated by the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.
