- The 17th Chennai International Film Festival, on behalf of the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, is set to begin on the 12th of this month at the Art Gallery.
- The festival, which runs until the 19th, features 130 films from 55 countries. 75 lakhs has been provided on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
- Of the 19 films submitted for screening in the Tamil films category, 12 have been selected. In Tamil, identical sandals, the next set, monster, bakrit, houseowner, jivi, dude, cheetah kadhi, consonant, bug, chikkuppattari, comrade Venkatesan are screened.
