Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyaan (DAJGUA) Package
▪ The government has held over 22,000 “jan seva” camps as part of its push to take the
Tribal Affairs Ministry’s flagship scheme saturation package, the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram
Utkarsh Abhiyaan (DAJGUA).
▪ Under this initiative the government had reached over 53 lakh Scheduled Tribe individuals,
helping them get government scheme benefits.
About DAJGUA
▪ The DAJGUA package was launched in 2023.
▪ Originally coined as the PM Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan (PM-JUGA), the scheme is a
package for basic scheme saturation in tribal-majority villages
▪ It aims to address critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood
development across approximately 63,000 tribal villages.
▪ Tenure: 5 Years (2024-25 to 2028-29)
▪ Funding to be shared between Centre and State.
▪ Monitoring under PM GatiShakti Portal
