India as a Global Data Hub
▪ India has the potential to emerge as a global data hub, according to the Prime Minister of India.
▪ India possesses the second-largest telecommunications market in the world and has become one of the five countries globally capable of manufacturing telecom equipment domestically.
▪ The Prime Minister stated that India has achieved self-reliance in the telecommunications sector.
Brahmaputra River
▪ The Brahmaputra River originates from the Chemayung-Dung Glacier in the Kailash mountain range of Tibet.
▪ In Tibet, it is known as Tsangpo or Yarlung Tsangpo.
▪ Entering India through Arunachal Pradesh, it is called Siang, and in the state of Assam, it is known as the Brahmaputra.
▪ Length of the river: Approximately 2,900 km.
▪ Main tributaries: Dibang, Lohit, and Subansiri.
▪ In Bangladesh, it is called the Jamuna, where it joins the Ganga (Padma) and together they form the Meghna, which flows into the Bay of Bengal.
