India-UK Agreement
The Indian Army has signed a contract worth ₹4,100 crore with a UK company.
Agreements were signed to strengthen bilateral ties across various sectors, including the defense sector.
The Indian Army stated that this will fulfill the current and future requirements of the Ministry of Defense in achieving the Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) goal.
India to supply Akash missiles to Brazil
Akash is an indigenously manufactured air defense system in India.
It has the capability to accurately strike and destroy aerial targets from the ground.
India and Brazil have already decided to collaborate in the bilateral defense sector.
The system can destroy enemy fighter aircraft, helicopters, and drones at a range of up to 25 km in the airspace.
