Gaming companies invited to invest in Tamil Nadu

• The Tamil Nadu Information Technology Minister has said that a new policy will be released soon for the development of the animation, visual effects, gaming and comics sector.
• The 17th Indian Game Developers Conference organized by the Game Developers Association of India began on 05.11.25 at Nandambakkam, Chennai.
• The IT Minister inaugurated this conference, which is being held for the first time in Tamil Nadu
• The famous Nintendo company is participating in this conference for the first time.

New Curriculum Committee Formation as per State Education Policy:

• The School Education Department has appointed two committees namely Curriculum Design Committee and Curriculum High Level Committee to develop a new curriculum for schools as per the State Education Policy in Tamil Nadu.

Functions of the committees.

• As per the government order, the Curriculum Design Committee will conduct a detailed study on the changes to be made in the current curriculum, syllabus, teaching approach and assessment methods, considering the gap between learning-teaching objectives and environmental achievement
• For this, it will obtain educational opinions from all levels including teachers, students, parents, educators and submit them for consideration to the high-level committee that has developed recommendations for a new curriculum framework and a draft curriculum for Tamil Nadu school education on the basis of the Tamil Nadu State Education Policy 2025.
