Naan Mudhalvan Programme Expansion
- TN Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) will expand the Naan Mudhalvan programme to Nursing and Allied Health Sciences students to improve employability in healthcare.
- Students will receive specialised training in communication skills and digital skills, tailored for hospital environments.
- Curriculum designed with inputs from MGR University, Nursing Council, and other stakeholders.
TNSkill Registry
- A new TNSkill Registry portal allows students to upload profiles for employers to access; consent-based system.
- 14 lakh students have benefited from the Naan Mudhalvan scheme so far.
- Over 600 companies registered across 30 sectors, including textiles, life sciences, power, telecom, BFSI, tourism, and manufacturing.
- The initiative aims to unify all trained students under a single skill registry, enhancing employment opportunities and industry connectivity.
For Folk Arts and Skill Development
- ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ programme will be expanded to benefit music and fine arts students.
- The programme would help them hone their spoken English and digital skills.
