National Pollution Control Day
- Observed on: 2 December every year in India.
- Purpose: To commemorate the lives lost in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984, which involved a leak of Methyl Isocyanate (MIC) gas. It also aims to spread awareness about the consequences of industrial and other forms of pollution.

International Day for the Abolition of Slavery
- Observed on: 2 December every year worldwide.
- The observance commemorates the 1949 UN Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others.
- Theme 2025: “Acknowledge the past. Repair the present. Build a future of dignity and justice”.
