- Context: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) marked the beginning of its 75th Foundation Year celebrations in New Delhi.
- ESIC is a statutory social security organization established under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, and functions under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

- The ESI Act draws its foundation from the recommendations of the B.P. Adarkar Committee, which examined health insurance for industrial workers.
- ESIC administers the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Scheme, which provides medical care and cash benefits to workers earning up to ₹21,000 per month.
- The scheme follows a self-sustaining health insurance model, financed through fixed contributions made by both employers and employees based on wages.

- Context: The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) has introduced the country’s first State Innovation Mission (SIM) in Tripura.

- SIM has been launched as part of the approved AIM 2.0 programme under NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission (SSM) framework.
- Originally set up in 2016 by NITI Aayog, AIM seeks to encourage a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the country.
- Its major initiatives include Atal Tinkering Labs, Atal Incubation Centres, and Atal Community Innovation Centres, among others.
- The State Innovation Mission is envisioned as a long-term institutional framework that will assist States and Union Territories in developing strong, inclusive, and region-specific innovation ecosystems.
- These ecosystems are intended to align both with national goals and local capabilities.
