National Geo-heritage Site
- Context: The hilly terrain surrounding the Kalinjar Fort in Banda has recently been officially designated as a “National Geo-heritage Site” by the Geological Survey of India (GSI).

- The Geological Survey of India was established in 1851 by Sir Thomas Oldham.
- In addition to identifying geo-heritage sites and national monuments, the GSI conducts geological surveys and research across India.
- The Ministry of Mines provides policy guidance and administrative support to the Geological Survey of India (GSI).
Kalinjar Fort
- Kalinjar Fort is situated in the Banda district of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
- It is surrounded by the Vindhya mountain range and the Ken River.

- Oru Paisa Tamizhan was a Tamil weekly journal founded by Pandit C. Iyothee Thass.
- It began publication in June 1907, from Royapettah in Madras, and was priced at one paisa.
- Issued every Wednesday as a four-page journal, it was renamed Tamizhan in 1908.
- Through it, Iyothee Thass voiced ideas of social reforms
