Operation HimSetu
- The to Indian Army has initiated Operation HimSetu evacuate and rescue more than 1,400 stranded tourists and local residents in North Sikkim.
- The situation was caused by severe landslides along with the collapse of a newly constructed bridge near Lachen, which severely affected regional connectivity.

- For a comprehensive maritime development strategy, it has been integrated with the ‘Maritime India Vision (MIV) 2030’ and the ‘Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047’.
- Its objective is to position India as a global maritime hub through modernized ports and enhanced maritime infrastructure.
- The program focuses on port-led industrialization, connectivity to coastal and hinterland regions, inland waterways, and coastal shipping services.
