About National Awards for e-Governance

- The National Awards for e-Governance aim to encourage and honour outstanding e-Governance initiatives.
- They were established in 2003 by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

- The awards are open to Central and State government bodies, Union Territories, districts, local authorities, public sector undertakings, and academic or research institutions.
- Winners receive a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of ₹10 lakh for gold awards and ₹5 lakh for silver awards.
