Zojila Tunnel
- Situated at an altitude of 11,578 feet on the Zojila Pass, the Zojila Tunnel links Baltal in Jammu & Kashmir with Meenamarg in the Drass-Kargil region of Ladakh.
- The tunnel will provide year-round connectivity, reduce travel time from three hours to about fifteen minutes, and facilitate seamless military movement and faster logistics support to the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Approval for Solar-BESS Project on Defence Land in Uttar Pradesh
- Defence Minister has approved the first large-scale solar power project on defence land in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
- The Ministry of Defence stated that this is its first project to develop a large-scale solar power plant integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on defence land.
- The Ministry noted that this 250 MW Solar-BESS project would enhance energy security for defence establishments in Uttar Pradesh and reduce long-term electricity costs.
- It will be developed by NTPC using vacant defence land.
